Opening of the Luxor Club in 1983

A city magazine in Cologne commissioned me to photograph the opening party of the Luxor Club in 1983.
I asked the guests to express their joy by jumping.

The Luxor opened in 1983 and has been a permanent fixture in Cologne's nightlife ever since. The Luxor is known far beyond the city limits as one of the most renowned music clubs in Germany.
Rock, pop, alternative, indie, but also house, electronic and modern dance music are the preferred music styles at this iconic location.
Numerous live concerts with national and international musicians and bands take place here during the week. Many well-known artists have performed here for the first time in the course of their careers.
